MR WOLF

15 Inkerman St, St Kilda

We headed out to Mr Wolf a few weeks ago for a quick bite to eat after a wine tasting nearby.

Mr Wolf is Karen Martini's Italian/pizza restaurant in St Kilda and it is turning 10 this year. We used to go there often when we lived in the area and it remains the no-brainer go-to place when are looking for a nice casual meal in the area.

The food is consistently good - well executed from quality ingredients - and I like it's 'cool yet casual' vibe.

We normally stick to pizzas, so decided to try something a bit different this time.

Veal and pork meatballs, roast tomato sugo ($16)

The veal and pork meatballs were juicy and served with a lot of tomato sugo to dip them in, It's a pretty generous serve; would easily be a main course for me. I loved the aroma the fresh basil gave out.

Antipasto pizza with river salt, rosemary, smashed olives, ricotta ($16.5)

The pizzas were as good as always. I like nibbling on the simple antipasto pizza and the rosemary and olives is my favourite.

Potato pizza with taleggio, mozzarella, parmigano, rosemary ($23)

Mr Wolf's potato pizza is hubby's favourite with its 'cheese trifecta'. It's a bit too rich for my taste, but definitely tasty.

We were in and out in just over an hour. Easy, tasty, reasonably priced and a nice place to hang out. Recommended :)
