BAR NONE

Bar None is tucked away in the basement of a side street in Camberwell. It's one of those places you could pass by a million times without noticing it's there.

One of our friends is a regular here and loves their martinis, so we decided to all come down for a drink after dinner in a restaurant nearby.

The place feels like someone's living room; lots of large, comfy couches spread around and various lamps with pastel lampshades help creating an intimate look & feel.

Their drinks list is impressive not only for the number of options, but also for its creativity - about half of the cocktails listed on the menu were conceived by their staff.

I like to combination of classic drinks and new, quirky inventions of their own. The drinks list (or 'bible') includes a description of each cocktail - how it was created, where it comes from and so on. You could spend ages just reading through it.

Our friends chose:

Tom Collins - Gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and soda water

Tom Collins ($16)

Classic martini

Apple martini

As I had already drunk way too much over the weekend, I preferred to stick with something 'soft' like their cinnamon hot chocolate.

Hot chocolate ($5.50)

Bar None is a cool place to chill out sipping cocktails - or hot milky drinks for those of us who can't handle much alcohol :)
