THE KITCHEN AT WEYLANDTS

200 Gipps St, Abbotsford - ph: (03) 9445 5900

I love stumbling upon a new cool restaurant/ cafe in my area. We are certainly not short of food options around Richmond & Abbotsford, but it is always good to have new places to try.

It is hard to miss The Kitchen at Weylandts as you walk past. The entrance is pretty massive. And I was surprised to see how gigantic the space is once you walk inside.

I have been back a few times already since my first visit - this place is good! I've tried both breakfast and lunch menus and here are a couple of my favourite dishes so far:

Granola with berry compote

Weylandts house made granola was fantastic. A generous serve of crunchy, not too sweet granola was complemented with berry compote, fresh berries, natural yoghurt and fresh mint. Great way to start the day.

Latte ($3.80)

Savoury muffin with shaved parmesan and chutney
All their pastries are baked in house and I loved the zuchinni and ricotta muffin on offer the day I visited. It was already quite late when I arrived for lunch and the kitchen had already closed.

The staff was very accommodating and added some shaved parmesan and chutney to transform my humble muffin into a meal.

Staff was really nice every time I've been back to The Kitchen at Weylandts - great place to come with a pram if you have a young family like we do now!
