Hubby has just 'discovered' this awesome bakery on Sydney Rd, which was the perfect pit stop after a morning of shopping at the Mediterranean Supermarket down the road (more to come on that in another post).
The Green Refectory is a narrow shop constantly crammed with people, hence probably not the most comfortable place to enjoy a long, sit down breakfast.
But the pastries are amazing and very well priced. We took a sit at the communal table and gobbled up some really tasty treats.
Apple and rhubarb pie
The apple pie smelt and tasted delicious. It had great texture and a slight tang to break down the sweetness.
Savoury pastries
Hubby really enjoyed his sausage roll, spinach and fetta triangle and lamb and pinenut triangle, judging by how fast it all disappeared from the plate.
The Green Refectory dishes out simple and honest bakery goodies. It's a gem on Sydney Rd, specially if you are after some take away treats.
