The Price Deck

"Circa, the Prince is currently undergoing an exciting transformation." said their website, but the Price Deck remains open for breakfast.

I am biased when it comes to Circa. My husband and I love the restaurant so much, we got married there!

Breakfast at the Price Deck

The thing about Circa goes beyond the food itself. I love the ambiance, the location close to the sea, the Prince hotel, with its beautiful pool and deck and amazing spa... the whole St Kilda atmosphere. AND the food is also excellent!

Scrambled eggs with house smoked salmon, ripe tomatoes and avocado ($18)

As usual, I was really hungry (and a bit greedy) and when for the big scrambled eggs breakfast. The eggs were creamy, well cooked and perfectly seasoned; simply perfect. The tomatoes and salmon made a good combination. I have to say adding the avocado was maybe a bit too much.

French toast with caramelised bananas and baked quince ($12)

Hubby went with a sweater choice of french toast with bananas and quince. Different textures mixed together: crunchy toast, smooth bananas and creamy cheese sauce. He also liked the combination of sweet quince and banana and savory cheese.

As I said before, I may be biased, but Circa is one of my favourite places in Melbourne for brekky, lunch and dinner.

I'm looking forward to visiting their formal restaurant when they reopen.
